I'm surprised that no one has mentioned a modified bike rack, (like a vehicle uses on their backend ) I'm sure that it would not take much to make a bracket. Actually if you use the post that comes off the receiver hitch of the car as your mounting bracket, have a steel plate welded to the bottom of it. You can now attach this to your frame behind the sleeper and have a( DOT authorized bike carrier) The ones that I see all the time carry two bikes. Just remember me please when you patent this or sell it. Good luck, MRC

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Another thought on this whole subject is, you might want to check with your insurance to see if they have some type of wellness program. Most of the insurers do and you might be able to get into a program that drops your rate. This could possibly start a ( Hornets Nest of trouble ) as the Truck Co. is going to figure all this out and have a carrier mounted to all trucks, each one will have a bike that has a GPS on it and you will be required to ride so much per 70hr period or pay a fine (Less per mile pay) etc. I wouldn't put it past them to make it a DOT regulation. HAHAHAAAAAA Have fun, MRC
