That's correct, and you will see a lot of the old timers doing this very thing when they park.

Thank you for confirming sir! I will be doing just this.

Agreed, i hope when i go training it's someone with the knowledge and desire to explain these kinds of things. I feel like someone should make a article outlining all these kinds of things necessary to stick in it for the long run.

Remember though gentlemen as long as you do even a mild PTI which should include ensuring the latch is securing the king pin you should be good to go on any dangers. An 80k vehicle is very dangerous and I certainly want to make sure it is safe and free of any damage as well as DOT reportable issues

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Winetaster the minor stuff is no biggie, but the big stuff call breakdown. I picked up a trailer at a walmart dc that had a bent door. I called breakdown and they had me take pics and send them in. The company app works well for that. I hope they finally got your miles up. Take care and be safe my friend
