YEAP..... Wear red and black Georgia Bulldawg shirt and scream every now and then.... GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You make it sound like it was easy (which I'm sure it wasn't!). Looks like I'll be heading to SLC for training and I'm more than a little nervous-- any tips for a green student?

The school there has way too many students so I recommend that when you are in the yard practicing backing, try and get in line first. It may mean you will get an extra turn because you will spend most of the day waiting for your turn, and may only get 2 or 3 chances each day. Other than that study your pre trip, they will let you go out in the yard any time to go over it after hours or before school.
I just finished my 200 hours of training and have the final road, backing and written test Monday. Then I get my truck and head home. 6 weeks and it is all completed! I also will be getting on a dedicated route right away which is jut what I was looking for. More money and home 2 days a week, hopefully it will work out for me.
Dedicated Route:
A driver or carrier who transports cargo between regular, prescribed routes. Normally it means a driver will be dedicated to working for one particular customer like Walmart or Home Depot and they will only haul freight for that customer. You'll often hear drivers say something like, "I'm on the Walmart dedicated account."
