Is there any type of detector that is legal to have and use in a commercial truck?

A carbon monoxide detector. rofl-1.gif

Radar detectors have been banned from commercial vehicles but there are still going to be people out there using em. Most of the trucks nowadays are governed between 58-65 so it's almost impossible to speed most of the time, even if you wanted to.

I put in initially for Van but now being the waffler I am, am thinking flat bed.
