Check out Roadmasters in Fontana, CA.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Curious as to why you want to get your CDL-A but not even use it? That's a lot of money out of pocket for only bragging rights but not use it to get a return on your investment.

But in any case you will want to go through a school so your can have the certificate as proof you went to school. Road masters is a good place to start.

Not even going to try and guess why even but just let me give some unsolicited advice. Whatever you do don't ever attempt to drive the truck even if you think you can get away with it. You will be untrained and not employee of your boyfriends company..... You will end up in jail if you are caught and your boyfriend will have more than a few major fines to pay. Just some friendly advice so take it or leave it.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
