HI Deb...I'm into my 2nd week of school here in Ga. I am taking my written test tomorrow...8/28/14. It is exciting and exhilarating. ..with a little bit of nervousness...as I take a calculated leap into a new career that I've been wanting for over 17 years. Good luck and happy trucking... All the things I've learned from this site and its contributors have helped sooooooo much, I feel like I have a bit of insight into this new world, and that's a big confidence booster!

Good luck. Keep us posted on your progress. " Be safe. Many blessings to you and you're family."

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

Thanks for all the encouraging words!

I'm attending Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wisconsin. All indications so far are that I made an excellent choice in coming here.

First two days were lots of paperwork, procedures, rules, and drug test. Class skill level after day one = we can all pee into a cup.

Next Tuesday the "rubber meets the road", we will be in the trucks, learning how to shift. Oh, boy!

Oh Deb, that is funny! I think some truck drivers think that is part of their training because they continue to do that at those especially demanding times on their bladder.
