Welcome Desiree,

Welcome aboard! What part of this beautiful nation are you from? What part of trucking do you want to get into? How long have you been trucking locally? Do you like it? What exactly do you do? What do you want to get into? I'm nosy dog gone it!

Shoot, at least you got 'some type' of experience in trucking. All the more better for you and your family! I'm not a full blown trucker yet but, getting there slowly and surely. Whoo hoo, another "sister in trucking" coming down the line! Cole

Hi Cole!! I am from Ohio. I am going to drive a tractor trailor combo along with a flat bed along with a straight truck... a little here a little there.I love my job!!! I went from being a housekeeper to a driver!!! AND the best part is... my boss is my brother. How about yourself? I am very nervous about the pretrip. Any suggestions?

Hi, Desiree,

I just finished my second day in CDL class. Today we received a pre-trip inspection handout that lists all the things we will be checking, and WHOAA, it's a lot to remember. I'm sure we'll all get it, but it will take plenty of practice, practice, practice!

Best wishes to ya! Flat bed - you go, girl!

Pre-trip Inspection:

A pre-trip inspection is a thorough inspection of the truck completed before driving for the first time each day.

Federal and state laws require that drivers inspect their vehicles. Federal and state inspectors also may inspect your vehicles. If they judge a vehicle to be unsafe, they will put it “out of service” until it is repaired.
