Zach - look at Swift also if you're out West and looking to get home often. I believe they just put a pretty substantial pay raise on the board for new drivers so look into that. But Swift has a lot of regional and dedicated runs out West. They can probably get you home on weekends at least. You may have to wait a short time to qualify for one of those fleets. Sometimes they require a few months of experience first but not always.
A driver or carrier who transports cargo between regular, prescribed routes. Normally it means a driver will be dedicated to working for one particular customer like Walmart or Home Depot and they will only haul freight for that customer. You'll often hear drivers say something like, "I'm on the Walmart dedicated account."
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.

I agree. All the testimonials of all the drivers on the site definitely arent "sugar coated" and is real life. Very helpful indeed. I am also looking at Pride. Also thought about Schneider and Knight. I live in a very rural area and need something somewhat close to home. I want to do the 11 Western States as I am from the west. I have a Wife and Kids, so I want to be able to see them as much as possible. I know jumping out there isnt going to be easy in that sense and wont experience much home time for the most part. Really hoping to fond something local, but I know I need to "pay dues" first.
