"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." Michael Jordan

Have you already been making plans if it will not turn out positively for you? I myself set my goal. I try to pursue that goal, but I also have some back up plans in case something does not work out according to Plan A.

I am sure that the guy who talked to you will try to negotiate with them. That is why he does not give you any information.

If it does not work out, it is good to be disappointed for a while, but no matter if their decision will be in your favor or not, you still are a winner in one way or the other. If they decide in your favor, you will be happy and the mistakes you made, will not happen again because you know exactly where you did the mistake. You will be eager to show them that you learn from your mistakes.

If they decide against your favor, you still win, because you know what mistakes caused that thing. Sometimes, people get better through mistakes and realizing the mistakes. There is a song that says: "Someone who never loses or makes mistakes does not deserve to win".

Cool. Good stuff, Drake. Thanks. And I'm going to start with some good rest tonight. Maybe something fun and relaxing tomorrow. Or more rest. And yeah, a back-up plan is a good idea. I'm going to "Plan C," if this doesn't work out.

Oh MG I so feel for you right now! I know you have worked your tail off these past few weeks. I will be keeping you in my thoughts that all turns out positive for you!

-Jolie

Thanks, Jolie. Sometimes we girls just need a little boo-hoo sympathy even if it's without a solution. Not often. Just once-in-a-while. And then we're "all better."

Man, that's rough. Why does something like that have to happen just before a long weekend?

-Deb

Thanks Deb. I know, right? I really get the impression that he either knew whether or not I was going to pass or he was going to "work the numbers" on Tuesday morning, run them by the supervisors to see if they complied with whether or not they wanted to keep me, and then send me on my way - either to the city for P&D or home. Plththththt.

P&D:

Pickup & Delivery

Local drivers that stay around their area, usually within 100 mile radius of a terminal, picking up and delivering loads.

LTL (Less Than Truckload) carriers for instance will have Linehaul drivers and P&D drivers. The P&D drivers will deliver loads locally from the terminal and pick up loads returning to the terminal. Linehaul drivers will then run truckloads from terminal to terminal.

Mountain girl, keep it together and focus on the positive. It sounds like you just went through hell week at SEAL Camp in one day. Don't doubt yourself, you have asked for extra help, you have tried your best, you have shown and spoke, that you are willing to go the extra mile. I hope that they come back to you Tues. and give you the keys to a truck, just know that we are pulling for you, don't freak out and give up!! good-luck.gifgood-luck-2.gif

-Rolling Thunder

Thanks RT. I will keep that vision in my head, all weekend.

Keep your chin up MG. We're all pulling for you. As it was said: relax and enjoy the weekend, come what may. I'll be sure to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Just remember, there is a "driver shortage", if this job doesn't work out. There are other companies you can apply to. You're doing your best. They have to know that & that nerves may have played a part. Everything happens for a reason. You shouldn't beat yourself up. Trust me, it doesn't help.

Take care,

Tarren

Yep. You're right. I'm headed to bed ...for as long as I can sleep.

MG, I'm pulling for you. You've shown a great amount of resolve, tenacity, and perseverance. You've got a strong work ethic. You seem to be managing your stress well enough. It's out of your hands at this point so there's no sense in fretting. I hope everything works out for you and am looking forward to hearing your update. Your stories have inspired me in my journey and I hope you can add yet another triumph. Hang in there, you're in my thoughts.
