Thank's mountain girl, I appreciate your advice. By the way, how did it ever turn out at Con-way for you?
-Edward K.
Con-way Freight, while an excellent company, ended up being an endless string of errors and mishaps, both mine and theirs. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't shake this. Sometimes, everything falls into place and then you know it's meant to be. As much as I loved it there, (nearly everything, including the uniform, which I rocked) and darned near everyone there, nothing fell into place, things kept going wrong (or just slightly wrong enough), and for some reason, it was not meant to be. When this happens, I have to believe it's because God is protecting me from something He understands better than I, maybe even from something that could happen that I'm just too mortal to foresee; and as much as I thought it was the best thing for me, He said "No way."
They terminated me after they, and I, botched up the final, day-long skills test. (I maxed out the pre-trip inspection though) It kinda' stings but now I'm on my way to a new adventure and the excitement will make me forget the whoooole thing!
Thanks for asking.

A pre-trip inspection is a thorough inspection of the truck completed before driving for the first time each day.
Federal and state laws require that drivers inspect their vehicles. Federal and state inspectors also may inspect your vehicles. If they judge a vehicle to be unsafe, they will put it “out of service” until it is repaired.
