Do you know that I had just renewed my license in April on my class c. So they told me my permit was good till 2020. Wow I hope I get it before then I told them.

Congrats:) This site helped me a little on the written tests, but I never thought about signing up till now and I got my cdl already.

Good luck on the rest! I have no idea what the schools are like but I hear they are pretty good!

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

You just keep doing the High Road....it will help you more than you know, when it comes to the classroom stuff !!! You'll cruise thru it, while everyone else is struggling...so they may grab you up and put you out on the driving range early !!! We've seen that happen ALOT here...
