Hey Stephen, it is tough being in Florida as you are finding out. I think that Knight has some regional work down in that area. The kind of time off you are wanting is going to be tough to find. You may have to settle for less time off for at least a year until you get yourself established. Regional opportunities are going to be more likely to have more time off than OTR.

Thanks, so much, what are regional home times, I'm okay with earning my wings and sacraficing, you think knight is better than weren't. We're net keeps you out for 14 days, I'm sure I can find something better than that right? They also told me that the dedicated routes are driver unload with a huge waiting list. I've been seriously looking at knight, however i don't like that i have to return the equipment, however it's not too bad i just live about 45 mind away. What's your take on weren't verses knight, as long as I'm t aken care of I'm good all around.

I'm okay with that, I know I need to establish some drive time before I can be picky, what's the best case see rid home time you think? How many days home is regional?

With Werner, you get 1 day off for every 6 days out if over the road. They have a 3M account that gets you home evry other weekend but I believe you are to far south for that. You should be able to get on with a reefer company with all that citrus down there. Regional runs will get you home every weekend for your reset. Usually you will get home Friday evenings and then pull back out Sunday nights.

I live in the Tampa Florida I have my CDL class A and I am taking a refresher course because I have no recent experience. So I'm looking for some of the bets companies to work for that will get me home 7 to 10 days at least and pay good, that will allow me to also take home the equipment. The school im going to is recruiting for Werner... but they are only offering OTR 14 days+ home for 2 and the pay sucks. I also need reimbursement for school and better pay for training too with little turnaround, as they will keep me with a trainer for up to 6 weeks. If anyone has any ideas please let me know what companies I should start looking at because the school im going to is not helpful at all, they are keeping me in a limited box of a few selected companies telling me I wont find anyone else. Please help!!! I'm also looking at knight as well, just look for some good honest direction.
