If it makes you sleepy or slightly sedated then it may be a problem. Don't quote me though.
Welcome, ok this is from the horses mouth as of last Nov. If you get a letter of ok from your personal Dr. (the one prescribing) that you may drive with no ill effects, drowsiness, lethargic, etc. then it is allowed. NOW, I then went to get my DOT physical and the Dr. questioned my meds and said NO Way on the hydrocodone, even had a problem with cyclobenzaprine, which I informed her you could now buy off the shelf at rite aid. I wish I could tell you one way or the other but I believe that you are going to find a road block. The DOT Dr. holds your fate is what I learnt, I hope you find out different.

i am from new jersey and i work with my father who owns a company that does heating oil tank work and i need to get my cdl to drive the trucks. i have a prescription for oxycodone that i have been taking for a few years due to chronic back and knee pain. am i going to be able to get my cdl with this medication? i need to get my cdl as soon as possible but i dont know when i will be able to stop taking my meds. anyone who has any info on this please help me
