It’s called the Truck Parking Information and Management System. Detection cameras and other sensors are used to see which spaces are open at what rest areas.

Has anyone used it and does it really help?

Heard of it, I read somewhere that MN or WI. One of those States in that Area were trying something like that out. I say just build more rest stops and bigger ones like the ones in WI and we don't have to invest money into such a thing. Solves all our problems. Or even one better, build Service Plaza's like they have back East and the Businesses inside the place are required to upkeep the Facility.

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

I vote for service plazas like ohio has. They need to vontract out. Gheirs are awesome
