With swift the trainer is not aloud home time with a student unless there's a family emergency I.e child birth death in the family and in that case swift will put you in a motel
That has not been our experience with Swift. The trainer picked my son up at the terminal on a Monday and 10 days later they rolled back into Florida with a load for Jacksonville and then home time. This past time the trainer picked my son up at the Terminal and now they are in the mid-south expecting to run for another week or so. The trainers are regular drivers with additional duties...they still get their home time.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Well, with Werner, the trainer puts you up in a hotel when the trainer is on hometime, because the trainer drives the truck home. When I was training on the DG account, I was in a hotel every weekend. I switched to training over the road , trainer never went home. So, I guess it depends on what type of account you are training own.
