UPDATE:
On thing i did was call tsa directly and they put in a "ticket" for me. I did get a email stating that it had been sent to a tsa adjudicater. Now this had been done because i had been arrested Before and any arrest record warrants further investigation. Well since it was minor b.s. arrest, i was approved. The same dude from tsa just sent me an email today letting me know. So now wainting for them to print and send. I also checked the enrollment centers status checker and it has yet to change. So in short it will take a realistic 2+ months to get a twic if you have any record.
Ricky 2 months to get a twin card is a long time. Years a go I was not the best of people. Prison once. 6 of the 10 years was spent at Tucker Maximum Penatentary in Arkansas. So I do know about being in trouble....
Took 2 weeks to get my twic card. My Hazmat background check was also 2 weeks. So it's not so much about the background as it is the people processing the card.
HAZMAT:
Hazardous Materials
Explosive, flammable, poisonous or otherwise potentially dangerous cargo. Large amounts of especially hazardous cargo are required to be placarded under HAZMAT regulations
TWIC:
Transportation Worker Identification Credential
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.
