Ultimately that depends on how long you want to stay out here and if you want to sit or keep it moving. I drive 8 1/2 to 9 hrs a day so I can roll for 4 weeks straight and not have to sit around. I hate sitting.

My guess would be.. find a pace that works for you and don't burn yourself out. That's when mistakes are made. Just an opinion because I'm not there yet.

So if you get less than 70 hours per week, you can skip the 34 hour break? Does the '70 hours avaiable' start over each week?

I stay out 3 weeks Minimum and a rolling 70 will maximize my miles vs a 34 hour reset.

Robert its called a rolling recap. If you dont max out 70 in 8 days you get your hours back at midnight the 8th day. Ill probably confuse the begesus out of ya but lets say you come out on Monday and work 8 hrs a day for 8 days you will have worked 64 hours. At midnight the following monday (your 8th day) you will gain what falls off your first day out which is 8 hrs. So on tuesday you have 70-64=6+8=14 hours to run. Plus each night at midnight you get 8 hours or however much you worked to keep rolling.

If you hit 70 before 8 days 34 will reset. Any 34 hour break will reset the 8 days and 70 hours is my understanding

Yes you are eligible for a reset every 168 hrs but to me unless your home every 7 days for the reset I dont want to sit in a truck stop for 2 days. I would rather keep rolling. Tis how I made 42,000 my rookie yr.
