Welcome aboard Angel!

I don't know anything about that school in particular but we have a ton of information to help you understand How To Choose A Truck Driving School. You can follow that link to our articles on the subject and you can also view chapter 4 of our Truck Driver's Career Guide which covers How To Choose A CDL School.

Actually, while you're at it, start from the very beginning and go through our truck driver's career guide thoroughly. Follow all of the links you come across. I consider that essential reading for anyone considering a career in trucking. It will help you tremendously!

To give you a quick idea, the two main things you want to do when evaluating a school is:

1) Ask the school for a short list of some of the Major Trucking Companies that hire their students. If at least a few of the major companies will hire from a school then you know they're a legitimate contender so far.

2) Go on a tour of the school (like you're getting ready to). Meet the staff and tour the facility. But most importantly, pull a few students aside privately and ask their opinions without any staff around. When someone shells out a few thousand bucks to attend a school they're going to be more than willing to share their experiences with you. They were just in your shoes probably a couple of weeks ago trying to choose a school themselves. Now they're in a position where they can help you make a good choice. If they like it they're they'll be happy to say so. If not, they'll certainly want to make sure you don't come in and pay good money for a place you won't be happy with. So those are some valuable opinions.

If major trucking companies will hire from a school, the place seems decent after taking a tour, and the current students seem pretty happy with it overall then you have yourself a school worthy of consideration at least.
