Hair Drug Test Questions....

I'm going for my drug test tomorrow for Schneider. I know they require a hair test. The hair on my head is about 1/4 inch long and my body hair or should I say lack of is almost non existent. I've been reading up on how the testing is done and it says the need 1.25 inches of hair. Yea good luck on finding that on my body. So my question is how do they go about collecting it from me? I'm not worried about passing the test. Just curious as to how they will collect it.

Yeap. Not much there either. Lol

While this may seems like a light topic it's really not. If you are sent to do a hair drug test (better hope they can get enough hair for your sake) and they are unable to get enough hair you can not be tested. Hold on before you start cheering. Not being able to take the drug test(and it would say they could not get enough hair) is looked at exactly and put into the same category as refusing a drug test since in both cases the test was not completed. And yes it will be recorded and goes on your permanent record and does follow you.

Agree with Guy, they will see it as a refusal. You need to let your hair grow out more, but it's a bit late for that now. If possible, ask if they will take the sample from your (ahem) pubic region. Not ideal but better than a refused test on your record. If there's no hair there, either...try getting a letter from your doctor that you simply don't grow body hair (confirming that you didn't shave it all off). Schneider might give you a chance to grow your head hair out.

OK so here's what happen, I went today for the test and as suspected my head hair was too short. So after careful consideration between me and the tester, she spent 25 minutes snipping and tugging at every hair on my body. We collected some from my arms, arm pits and legs. She was pretty sure it would be enough. So I called Schneider after I left and told them what happened and they said if the test is in conduct able I would have to simply wait till my hair on my head was long enough.
