Went down to local DMV today and decided to throw caution to and attempt my written exam to get my learners before I leave for Prime at the end of the week. (And also before all this info swimming in my head starts to leak out)

I curse those weird and oddly phrased / asked questions, especially getting a few right out of the gate! A few deep breaths and a couple skull thumps later presented me with 3 passed sections!

Definitely would not have done so well with out the info from the site! Saw so many questions that I was able to point to and say "Hey, I remember what section that was from." Great Job!

Really kind of a load off my mind and one less thing I have to worry about once I arrive at prime, Now time to start drilling in that Pre-trip!!

Thanks everyone!

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

DMV:

Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles

The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Good to hear it Will!

Be sure to study my thread on the pretrip inspection. It is taken word from word from Prime's worksheets. Plus easy to understand tips that I wrote!

You memorize this, and you memorize exactly what you'll be working on soon!

Daniel B.'s Prime Pretrip Inspection

It has already had a dedicated tab in my browser for the last week almost LoL!

I had gone over it superficially, but was more focused on the written exam at the time, but im sure to get some work out of that tab now! :D
