I think I really could love the trucking lifestyle. And maybe want to get my CDL someday. But also want a man to share that with. Drive together as a team maybe. How do I find a good trucking man to team with? Not just wanting a one-night kind of thing, but a lifetime. Any clues?

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Oh Tracey....thats gonna be a hard one. theres alot of guys out there that will tell you anything you want to hear, to get you in their truck, and their bed...why not ??? they get the best of both worlds !!! THey get to share your money, and your body too.....SO walk softly...and be extra leery....

I would like to know. A friend of mine got me thinking about driving. A high school dream. I got my tip but thinking about going to school in March. I think, hope, that he will get his class a, he has b and team up with me. It would be a blast, hoping. Good luck.

Well, I see a lot of male truckers at truck stops. You could start there.
