I keep forgetting to push in my spring breaks...
I just finished school and this happens to me quite frequently.....I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one!
One time in the middle of MN while pulling out of a snow covered hotel parking lot at 5:00am with my tanker I got to the street ( 100' to 200') and woke up real fast when I realized I had'nt pushed in the trailer brake Button...........
Lol, on the plus side you knew the coupling was secured!
This didn't happen to me but my CDL teacher told a story about delivery cars to CarMax. The CarMax that he deliver to was on a hill above a major road, another driver was parked next to him and as they were going into the office the other driver just took off running. When my teacher saw what was going on he ran after the first guy. The truck had rolled down the hill and across a 4 lane road and into the a fence. My teacher said he knew the guy had set his breaks because he saw him do it. A couple of customers from a coffee shop nearby said wow you should have seen that homeless man jump out of that truck when it started down the hill. The guy had set his breaks but forgot to lock his door.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

HA HA HA! I did that leaving a shipper in Indiana. The trailer was already loaded and sealed so all I had to do was hook and book, so I did. I just forgot to release the trailer brakes. It was at night and there was a snow pack. I actually went about two blocks before I caught it. Luckily, it was a light load and there was no tire or brake damage. Yeah, I needed coffee then.
Shipper:
The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.
