Straight pipes and use it as your avalanche control truck... LOL
Sounds wicked cool, Brett. Here's where I confess to being a Ford guy! LOL!
Oh man, Brett, you're getting bored up there! Buying 10,000$ engines and talking about living with bears on top of a mountain. You're nuts!
But in all seriousness congrats! That engine sounds awesome. Can we try to put it in my Lancer after you're done with it?
Sounds good, will be great in the snow....until you step on the gas hard and she hooks up .....looks like the truck is 1/2 ton with 33" tires.... if it is .... probably 3:73 gears....could easily snap the outer axle shafts or chew up the spider gears.... drop in some 4:10's .... couple of Detroit lockers.....and throw on a Weiand 671 blower and she will FLY!!

I'm not sure about the blower but that would be amazing!
He did say I'd have no problems adding nitrous to this motor. It has forged pistons, DART heads, and a hydraulic roller cam. So at some point down the line if I'm looking for something to do to it a nitrous kit would be awesome. He said the parts in it can handle about 6,500 RPM and about 550 hp.

That's exactly what it is. I like the 33's on it. They're the perfect size to get it up off the ground a bit and dig in without looking obnoxiuosly big.

That would be a treat! LoL!

Oh let me be clear....this truck I'm building is not my primary truck for driving in the winter or any bad weather. I have a newer, ordinary, nerdy pickup for that. It's boring. But it's more practical in the snow.
That being said I'm still curious about how that truck will handle in the snow. I think it's gonna be a blast as long as you can keep it under control. But that's gonna be a tall order in itself.
