Waiting on my Greyhound confirmation from my recruiter. Really looking forward to the training. I have been studying the Indiana DL book and watching video's on backing and pre-trip for the state. Might start a youtube diary along with this, we'll see. I'll be starting class on Monday and can't wait to get driving.

Hey Len, did your recruiter say anything about "paid training" being as soon as you start class? Or will you get paid after you hit the road with your trainer?

Once you hit the road with trainer.

Got Greyhound info. Leaving Saturday @ noon getting there at 9:40 same night. Gives me all day Sunday to settle in for the long haul(pun intended).

Hope you have been using the High Road CDL training here at TT. It is very comprehensive and will step you through "the manual".

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

I'm currently in my 4th week here. Using the High Road Training Program would put you at a great advantage. Study it before you leave and on the way here. Look forward to seeing you out here at Indy

Mix up with recruiter. I leave Tomorrow @ noon and get in at 10pm. Can't wait to get there and get going. I've been working on the HR training mods. If they are anything like the actual tests, I should be set to get all my endorsements.dancing.gif

Day 1 in the bag. Food is ok. Motel is a bit of a ride, but nice only sharing a bathroom with only 1 other person.

Didn't see much of Max, but Brian is a trip. Not on schedule for physical until Wednesday.

End of day 2. We had Steve come into the class this afternoon. He seem to be a great guy. Down to Earth everyday man. More studying today. They are sending people for testing tomorrow, hope I can pass all my exams so I can get out on the range.
