I can't speak to Ohio's rules but I can tell you that here in North Carolina you must double clutch. Not sure its an automatic fail but I got the impression that its enough points to make it hard to pass.
To engage and then disengage the clutch twice for every gear change.
When double clutching you will push in the clutch, take the gearshift out of gear, release the clutch, press the clutch in again, shift the gearshift into the next gear, then release the clutch.
This is done on standard transmissions which do not have synchronizers in them, like those found in almost all Class A trucks.

I got my cdl permit a few month ago I'm going to take my test on December 8th. And I was wondering if anyone had any tips I'm in ohio taking at tdds. Also I learned how to drive without using the clutch and I was wondering if they would fail me for not using the clutch
