I'm chomping at the bit to get started on training for Swift Transport in Richmond on Nov. 24th. I just know this week is going to drag by. I'm marking time and trying to keep busy by reviewing HRT.

Don't get to excited lol your brain will be in overdrive for let's say the next year lol there was times I woke up cuz I was dreaming about messing up while in school enjoy your peace of mind now cuz its about to get crazy for awhile but you will enjoy it I did lol

Hey bro I was in your shoes last week. I started KLLM in Jackson Mississippi on Monday and we are already going for permits tomorrow. Once you get started it is going to fly by but with a lot of hurry up and wait. Keep studying rite up till the last minute. I scored a 91 today on a practice cdl test in class today and it wasn't from hightliting what the teacher told us to do in the permit book for 1 day.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
