Depends on the company you work for. When I was with Sygma they did slip seating and after every route you get your things out. But with Prime, who I drive for now It would take hours for me to get my things out as I been living in the thing full time for 7 months now. A lot of OTR company's allow you to take the truck home on home time.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
I use a suit case for the stuff I remove when leaving the truck for a few days. I have my laundry, expensive electronics and knick knacks. Everything else stays on the truck whether it goes into the shop or not (our shop that is).
Rolling Thunder has a good system. Take any valuables or anything sensitive to heat or cold (electronics) with you when you'll be out of the truck for a while or when exposing it to other people (like mechanics).

Hi, I have seen that most drivers carry a lot of personal stuff in the truck.
What do you do with this stuff when you leave the truck for your days off? You take everything out?
When the truck is sent to the shop?
Does anybody else drives the truck when you are off?
Thanks
