Nothing that I've heard. I personally won't drive without mine recording. If for some reason they don't allow it I would use it anyway and just not tell them. A dash cam can really save your job out here and mine has captured some incredible events.
Maybe it's true, there's always that one company out of a thousand that might not approve of them. But I don't know any company that forbids them. I would put this off as a rumor honestly.
I haven't heard anything about this, but it's possible. The legal complexities for large trucking companies are staggering. It wouldn't surprise me if some of the companies determined that these cameras would hurt their cause more than help it.
They may be talking about "vloging" while driving also.. I wouldn't think a dash cam just recording wouldn't harm anyone but many people use one to "vlog." There are trucking vlogs all over youtube I actually enjoy some of them myself but recording and talking into a camra while driving some companies may view this as a distraction so they say no.
But a dash cam that you have going to record for in case of an accident I would think a company would love that. Not only does it cover you it covers them in case of an accident.
I haven't heard anything on this either, but I'm with Daniel, I'd still have mine going either way. Someone decides to pull in front of me and slam on their brakes forcing me to rear end them for, I'm gonna make sure I'm covered.
The only thing I`m hearing about dash cams is the opposite of the "rumor". Some companies are actually testing a system that has a camera mounted with an "out front" and a "at the driver" view that will record constantly on a loop and if triggered by a "critical event" will go back 8 or so seconds and forward 4 or so seconds then send the data to central location to be analyzed then may be forwarded to the participating company for further action if necessary. So, yeah.

Hi, can anyone confirm this rumor - dash cams are no longer (or not) allowed by companies (maybe some) and that you have to sign a waiver that you will not use one? Thanks.
