Just keep in mind that Guy runs teams pulling doubles and High Value Loads. He also has 16 years experience. So dont go about thinking you'll make what he's making.
This is correct. It is a team truck with 2 experienced drivers on it. Once solo drivers have the experience they can make upwards of 50k. Inexperienced drivers will make way less than that.
There is good money to be made out here but the question and the key to making money is ....What are you willing to sacrifice? The more you will to give up the more you will make. Of course you could go LTL and make some good money but not everyone can do that. So most go otr.
Just remember in most cases more hometime means less money cause your not turning the miles.
Refers to carriers that make a lot of smaller pickups and deliveries for multiple customers as opposed to hauling one big load of freight for one customer. This type of hauling is normally done by companies with terminals scattered throughout the country where freight is sorted before being moved on to its destination.
LTL carriers include:
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
Refers to pulling two trailers at the same time, otherwise known as "pups" or "pup trailers" because they're only about 28 feet long. However there are some states that allow doubles that are each 48 feet in length.

That`s something you normally won`t hear until you are knee deep in trucking. Very true.
So Guyjax, is that photo what you made in exactly 1 year or is that 1+ years? How much did you make in one year at Werner?
Daniel he specified in his original post that it was YTD (that means year to date), so that is the amount he has mad so far this year to 11/28 - he still has another month of earnings to come for it to total an entire years worth of pay.
Thought i would do a quick update. This is YTD as of 11/28/14. The most important things are the Gross and Net YTD.
Ok, so you made about 38k for one year net doing teams. When the recruiter talked to me on the phone he made it sound like teams would be pulling in around 70k each year. You made decent money but I think they would have a better rep if the recruiter were more straight forward. I am also assuming with all of your experience you are getting paid much more than a greenhorn. I was hoping my first year would net me close to 40k but if you are getting that much with all of your experience I am a little worried about what a greenhorn would get paid for his first year.
Good point ! It makes me worried a little also

Yeah that is since Jan 1st.Once I get W2 I will post that and see how it turns out.
We have very few teams here on the forums and every once in a while we get questions about teams....mainly about pay so I figured I would have it documented here so it can be referenced at a future date.
Does Werner offer a holiday bonus on your paycheck? It seems like you should have made a lot more with all of your experience maybe I am believing to many recruiters. Were you running hard the entire year?
