Hi All ImTony.. I'm 29 years old and made the decision to get my CDL..Im shipping out in one week and will spend my Christmas and New Years in school and orientation with CRST. Now I've been reading and researching for awhile, and this is no snap decision. I understand this is more than a career choice it is a way of life. So for this guy it is a life decision so I can support myself and make a decent and honest life for myself, my fiance, and our Labrador.

Now my financial situation unfortunately has steered me in the direction of signing"the contract" and slaving away for ten months at low pay to get the CDL and start trucking. Im excited, anxious, and to be honest a little scared.. But I am GRATEFUL that in the good ole USA there is a way for me to get some education AND experience under my belt while putting a LITTLE money in my pocket. Thank God for a company willing to do that for me...AND THANK YOU TruckingTruth.com and all you guys n gals who take time to post on here. It truly has comforted me and helped me along the way with this process.

Also the CDL training program on here is AWESOME and I thank the good Lord someone took the time to offer it online FOR FREE so this guy can prepare for the school. I have been studying two hours each night and WILL enter school next MONDAY knowing I'm gonna ACE the written exam, Super Pumped and I Look forward to my future and talkin with all my trucking brothers and sisters. I do not want to believe the brotherhood of trucking is dead like a lot of internet posts say, and I am darn proud to have an opportunity to hopefully be a part of and CONTRIBUTING member of it! :) Sincerely, Tony A.

Welcome T-Rex 85 and congrats on getting hooked up with CRST!

Trucking really does have about the most diverse group of people imaginable. You'll find some extraordinarily interesting and unique people out there, and of course you'll find your share of stereotypical truckers. But it's a ton of fun being out there seeing the country and meeting people every day from all walks of life.

Keep us updated on how things go for ya at CRST!
