I don't have a clue as to what happened, but I would sure make sure that you don't do it. They just might knock that fez off the top of your head and send you home on the bus - fez-less!
Lol, the worst I have done so far is stall the truck but last time I saved it by pushing in the clutch last moment.
In regards to my question I only remember someone saying something about breaking wrong or "dropping the engine".....or something like that.
What I think happened is the student engaged the engine/jake brakes while at idle speeds. At such a low speed, engaging the engine brake makes the truck slow down tremendously fast and lowers those RPM's even faster to a point the RPM's get so low that the engine brake cuts off itself. It doesn't sound pleasant, and it doesn't look pleasant either.
If I was the instructor I would have crapped a brick too, followed by a lecture.

So today on the training pad we where learning to do the ally dock while some other PSD students where doing some practicing in preparation for the CDL test. Out of nowhere we heard this loud squeal of sorts that caused the instructor to say "did he just do what I think he did?" And ran over and just stared at the truck the noise came from.....even had the PSD trainer go walking over...I never fully got what happened but I guess it was something that can kill an engine? I just know it made our instructor practically crap bricks.
