The sign that always makes me smile is "falling rock" reason is my wife whom had never been out of the state of Florida before went to north carolina for a 2 month job. It was located in the town of "blowing rock" so when i called to check on her and ask where she was she said i am not quite there yet but i think i'll be there once i get through "falling rock" took me a second but then i got it. while laughing hysterically, i explained that "falling rock" was not a town but a warning of falling rocks.

Mine says, "Truckee, Pop. 12,450" which means I'm home . . . made up the Pop number 'cause it's a tourist area and who knows how many people actually LIVE there . . .

I think it would be funny as hell.... If the DOT saw trucks coming at the weight station with a CLOSED posted... and change it OPEN just as they get to the sign....

Or..

During new highway construction they post a low clearance sign of 13' 5 3/4"

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

I don't have a photo but my favorite is one on the west side of Harlowton, Montana

This sign is an airport sign with an arrow below it pointing to the north. What makes the sign so funny is immediately below the arrow is one that says cemetery.wtf.gif

I don't think that I want to be flying into that airport but hey at least it is convenient.

"PORT OF ENTRY". First time I saw this I pulled off the road to find my passport 😊. Merry Christmas all.
