First of all, let me say thanks to all of the good people on this forum who are so willing to answer questions & help another in so many ways. I appreciate you. As I'm reading & deciding which school is best for me, I keep reading how everyone is taking a bus to & from school & it's been described as anything but pleasant. Can't I drive my own vehicle to & from school?
Kent, most of us who went to a company sponsored school traveled a long distance to get there (for instance I live in CA and the company - Prime, Inc. - school is in MO) and the student goes out on the road right away for weeks at a time . . . there is no chance to get your vehicle back home (and safe) before you go out and then, once you are in/on a truck there is little chance of getting back to where your vehicle is parked and driving it home again . . . if you go to a much more local school, this is not as much of a problem, especially if it is just a school and not a company sponsored school where you are immediately employed . . . hope this helps . . .

Check with the school. Most you can drive to. Some of us live hours away from the school and will not be coming back anytime soon to pick up the car. If you are going to a company school they will probably reimburse you for gas after you complete training.
