Roadmaster is a 3-week school. Nothing wrong with it, i went there and learned plenty. My Mentor at Swift said he was shocked i was from Roadmaster...he had nust never had a graduate from there that actively learned everythi g they had to teach. A lot of people coast through Roadmaster without ever actually trying. The instructors are knowledgeable, you just have to be willing to learn.
Mid-Florida Tech is in the Orlando area. I went there for welding about a decade ago and I've heard they have a nice CDL program. The tech schools and community colleges tend to have high standards and great prices. So even if you're not going to be able to make the commute or whatever, it might be worth looking at for comparison to other schools. You definitely want to tour a couple of schools during the process of choosing a truck driving school.

So next month, my wife and i will be moving down the st petersburg FL, from MN. I have heard quite a bit about going to PTEC for training, and hope to go there as it seems like a great school. Does anyone knkw about any other schools in that area that offer thorough schooling? (not a quick 3 week course) i have really no experience backing up trailers or shifting. Only experience i have is a few months ago using the Spotter at work to move a trailer and backing it into another trailer my first time. Needless to say they didnt let me try again. Hahahaha. Atleast i only took off a little paint and didnt cause too much damage other than the 10 bucks for spray paint
