Howdy Folks
I'm currently driving a cattle truck and trailer here in New Zealand still in my first year of driving after Dairy Farming for the last 23 years.
The class 5 Driver's License allows me to drive any Heavy Goods Vehicle here in N.Z or Austrailia and is equal to the CDLA.
Most of the research I've done shows that I'd need to show residency of state to got a CDL A. I'm not sure which state would be suitable, I was thinking of Arizona as it has some of the bigger companies there.
As for Companies I'm considering Knight/Werner/Melton/Swift but open to more experienced thoughts.
Any coments are appreciated
Cheers
Don
Maybe I should have asked if anyone knows if as a Foreign Friendly Driver are there any companies who would/do hire Foreign Workers ?

Hey Don, most truck stops here in the states seem like a United Nations meeting . . . I'm not sure about the legalities of it (in fact, I'm like Sgt Schultz: "I KNOW NUTTINGG" - you might have to be an American baby-boomer to get that reference). . . anyhow, most any company seems like they will hire anyone who is legal and your country of origin is not very important . . . I hear all sorts of languages being spoken (just not Auzzi or Kiwi - youz guyz DO speak English of sorts, right?)
So come on over, do what it takes to get legal and join the fraternity (and sorority) . . . you'll find the West much more to your liking, I'll venture to guess (and not just because I'm a western man - but it does help) . . . Good Luck,
Jopa

Thanks Jopa
I got a bit of stuff to organise many around living costs while training/ residency (I think the Company can help with this from what I've seen from other kiwi's who made it) - March is the month I have in mind at the moment. I'm lucky enough to have some trucker friends in the US (fb/yt) that I hope to catch up with Truckin' is firmly in the blood
Cheers
