When I went through, I had to have 2 letters from friends stating why I hadn't had any employment in 2 years, I was a stay at home dad. I had them notarized, and I also needed my SS card and Birth Certifcate. These where the basic items my recruiter told me to bring. I would get my permit there in AZ (from CA)

Seems some of the things they ask for are kind of ridiculous... why do they need marriage and divorce papers? I am applying for a job to hold a steering wheel not launch nuclear warheads. Way over the top requirements kind of amazing they can actually hire anyone.

The DMV needs them. I think....

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

DMV:

Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles

The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.

That's what I was thinking as well. Oh and having trust issues with your recruiter. I would say throw some salt on whatever they say. Call in with another name and ask another recruiter. Maybe that will help?

Yep, thanks to Homeland security rules.... The way it was explained to my wife and me at the DMV is if you have any name changes, you have to show the path from birth to present how you became who you are today. So, if for example you were married 4 times and divorced 3 times... a woman would have to show her Birth Certificate, and every Marriage Cert and every Divorce Cert showing how her names changed from birth until present.

Way to go Mikki!!!! I am so excited for you!!!! I am dead tired but enjoy what I'm doing and I think you will too. I am so busy it is hard to find time to eat or I'm too tired to eat, so I have gone down a pants size since I went solo. I can't wait to hear how things go. I am seriously considering a move to Phoenix after putting up with the cold!

The name changes... Makes sense but still I think that sometimes what I read for the requirements are completely unrealistic. Good luck to you Mikki and please keep us up to date on your progress. Would really enjoy hearing about your experiences.

Hey Jolie! Take care of yourself out there. Nice to hear from you! Stay warm. I am sure the sudden shock of cold weather for me will be amusing? Keep in touch.

Uh, nothing was explained to me. I just happened to read it somewhere. You would think my female recruiter would be on top of that? Anyway, water under the bridge
