I finally made it out of the terminal at Springfield. First load with my instructor. Springfield underground to Pottstown pa. We left at about 7:00am and just stopped for the evening. Tomorrow I get to drive through Ohio.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Congrats! Keep them coming, Brian.

Until next time, drive safely!

Absolutely. The mental toughness it takes to be a truck driver is one major reason people do not see it through, especially the first few months. Hold your head high no matter how many times you screw up and learn from the mistakes. It will come to you eventually and before you know it you will be a truck drivin' fool like the rest of us.

Oh, and also keep telling yourself that this time with the trainer will end soon.

Good luck and be safe

Last night we stopped just short of leaving Indiana. My instructor did all the driving yesterday which was fine. We woke about 6:00 am after a pre trip we headed out, he tricked me into believing he was going to just drive till daylight but he went until we got out of Columbus. He told me don't freak out but you're driving the hills and mountains. I did pretty good, a couple bobbles in down shifting but not to bad. Funniest thing that happened is the dude that was trying to back into me at ez pay toll on the pa turnpike. He didn't have a transponder so he was trying to get me to back up. Made it to right outside Pottsville will drop load 6am
