Randell, Georgia is a pretty big state and it's loaded with good truck driving schools:
We have an excellent series of articles on How To Choose A School and we also have a chapter in our Truck Driver's Career Guide on choosing a truck driving school. Those will help you understand your options for schooling and how to evaluate schools so you can pick the one that suits you best.

If you're interested in a short program, Daly's Truck Driving School isn't very far from you on Buford Highway. I went there for school. Cost will be more than a tech school and it's a 3 week program.
I would find alot of trucking companies that would hire me if I had my cdl which is called a pre hire and then ask the trucking companies for a list of schools they hire from in my area.... That would probably be the best route to take and here's a link to help you to Understand Pre-Hires

Pre-hire letters are acceptance letters from trucking companies to students, or even potential students, to verify placement. We have an excellent article that will help you Understand The Pre-Hire Process.
The people that receive a pre-hire letter are people who meet the company's minimum hiring requirements, but it is not an employment contract. It is an invitation to orientation, and the orientation itself is a prerequisite to employment.
During the orientation you will get a physical, drug screen, and background check done. These and other qualifications must be met before someone in orientation is officially hired.
