Welcome aboard Josh!
Well for starters, Roadmaster is an excellent school. It's actually a chain of schools with locations across the country and they have an excellent reputation in the industry. So they're a good candidate for sure.
In case you haven't heard about this already, Florida is about the toughest place in the country for finding a Truck Driving Job because very few companies hire out of Florida. It's certainly not impossible by any means, but your choices will be quite limited compared with most people so be prepared for that.
Also, if you haven't done so already, I highly recommend you read through our entire Trucker's Career Guide. It covers every topic imaginable that pertains to getting your trucking career off to a great start and I consider it required reading for anyone considering a career in trucking. It will give you a thorough understanding of what trucking is all about and will help you make the right choices for yourself.
Let us know any questions you may have - we're always happy to help.
Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
