I know I am very new to this but what if a way you can separate drivers by company?

Indeed when I make the updates I'm going to allow people to specify where they work if they so choose.

Ok, I updated the TT Tracker to the new template and it's 1000 times better on mobile than it was before. Give it a look and let me know if you guys are running into any problems with it or have any suggestions:

TT Tracker

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

Looks great on mobile now! A lot easier to deal with and will probably use it more now. Good job

Excellent! That's what I'm hoping to hear. I think it's pretty cool. I look at it all the time to see where everyone is.

That's a lot better... I had a hard time looking at the map the other way and I like how you click on the persons name and it highlights them on the map.... Thanks brett

You bet!

Yeah, the old version obviously wasn't mobile-friendly at all. Useable in an emergency, maybe. This new template we're putting across the website is super mobile friendly. The tracker was a tricky one to get functioning on mobile but it works pretty darn good now. I dig it.

Any possible way to be able to go to a user's profile or send them a private message from the tracker? This way if you find someone in the same area as you and want to ask to meet for a lunch stop, you have an easy way to contact them.

Yes indeed! In fact, it had that capability before and I temporarily took it out to get this version up and running sooner. I'm going to add that feature in the coming days. You'll be able to see anyone's profile and send them a private message without leaving the page.

It's definitely possible but I'm not sure if I'll wind up doing that or not. This website has evolved into a series of different apps with the training program, this forum, the tracker, the photo gallery, the cdl practice tests, and there's a lot more on the way. We could have different apps for everything we build but it's probably easier to just have everything available here in one place. It would be a pretty sizeable effort to build this stuff into apps. I'm always considering the idea but at this point I'm going to keep focusing on building more features into the website.

  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Looks great Brett, thanks for all of your hard work. I wish I had checked it sooner the other day, Daniel B was at our Salt Lake terminal at the same time I was, I coulda met the man, the myth, the legend...

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
