I don't know about Swifts policy's, but I'm with Prime and I have several appliances. I've got a Keurig coffee maker, George Foreman grill, sandwich maker, crock pot, TV, Blue Ray, and a microwave. I have a fridge installed that is hard wired to the 12 volt system.
If swift allows inverters I'd say your ok to get what you need on the truck.

Swift does not allow inverters that require wiring to the battery. You can get a 300watt one that fits to a cig outlet. Everything will need to be 12v plugs ( cig plugs). You can get coffee pots, skillet and cooler that will fit And work. I had my TV and Xbox /laptop plugged in to my 300watt inverter with no issues. 32" led flat screen to no juice same with laptop. Always check the voltage on the products you buy. They have them stamped with input and output specs. Make sure the are under the power of inverter.
I have a 1500 watt inverter, it powers a microwave, dorm size refrigerator, tv and chargers for my leaf blower and cutoff tool. I use instant coffee and nuke it in my microwave, I've gotten good at mixing it right for flavor. I run the truck when using the microwave and always run the truck a bit to recharge the batteries after watching a movie.

You would want to shoot for appliances that are 200w or less. Most small flat screens, laptops and some game systems are low wattage. Fans, 12v coolers/fridges, tablets and phones are all good.
Most heat producing appliances will be over 500w AC, so those are out. Small Slow Cookers can be around 150 watts, but that's about it for heat producing appliances.
You can find Immersion Blenders under 200 watts to make smoothies, hummus, etc.
I would avoid a modified sine wave inverter and shoot for a pure sine wave inverter. You are less likely to run into compatibility issues with your electronics.
Hope that helps.

I ran my laptop which takes 150Watts, tv and Xbox. never ran the 3 together. Either TV/Xbox or TV/Laptop. Never had an issue though. now when I was with Swift, i did put a 500watt on the batts. Would disconnect every morning. My 2015 International had a hole under the seat that went right to the batteriers. I followed it and fed the inverter wires through. Know one new the difference.
always make sure you do + (pos) first then - (neg) when putting wires on batteries, and reverse for taking them off. - (neg) then + (pos)
My trainer fried his cig outlet with once off those converters so be careful with them

they arn't ment for all the time use. I had the small yellow 100watt one and its fan died. Started smelling like burning wire, tossed that in the trash.

Wondering if it's feasible to purchase a plug in coffee pot & cooler for my truck? Anyone know if there's general policies for running these w/ an inverter? Or Swift policies as that's my employer for at least the year it takes to pay back school! Sorry Brett didn't see the bio page, I'll get it done when I have a minute. Thanks for all the help and advice on your site, been a lifesaver already! Garrick M.
