Jim, are you asking a question or making a statement? Because if you think you are too old you are greatly mistaken.
Jimbo, you can certainly decide for yourself if you want to get behind the wheel, but as long as you pass the DOT physical, you're not too old. I'm finishing my orientation with Swift in few weeks.

1989! Man a couple of years when I would get together with people I was always the youngest, slowly that is starting to change and I am not a fan... Need to start figuring out if I want a casket or an urn, not much time left now.

You'll still be the youngest in the trucking industry for many years to come! You just don't see young people in this industry anymore.
Hey, I'm 61 and starting training in a few days with Roadmaster. And it is because of TT giving me support to follow my dream! I feel excited and looking forward to the new adventure, like I was 20 again! Don't let age stop you from doing anything.

I'm recently retired, and have for many, many, many of those years wanted to drive. Now, that I'm free to do what I want, I was a bit nervous because of my almost 52 yr. age. Until I found TT. Now, I feel much more comfortable. It's all about that physical. I've already started to get on my 'eat better' program that's helped me lose weight many times. Thanks for posting that concern!

Man, you dudes are young! I'm usually the oldest in the groups I run with, but I guess I didn't realize how uncommon for us young folks to get into trucking. Well, I can look forward to feeling like a kid again
Jim, like everyone has already said...I get the sense that age is not an issue. One look at the diversity of this forum and website shows you that you're actually highly popular age bracket. Whatever you decide, good luck!
I'm 53, born 1961. I started taking one of those one-a-day multiple vitamins a few years back and it made a big difference in the way I felt every day. We don't always eat right on the road.
