Hey congrats!!!!! Getting that license is the best feeling in the world - no doubt about it!
-Davey (aka, "Traffic Jam" by the other students in our truck. Although I am not causing this anymore)
OMG you're just getting finished with school and your nickname is already "Traffic Jam" - that's hilarious!
Congrats though. Very exciting to hear you've passed and you're on to the next stage.
Davey, that is AWESOME, man... I can only imagine how stoked you must feel...you're gonna pass those other test with no problem if you've been studying on here..
Thanks everyone! I really enjoyed all the little figures dancing around on the screen! Ha, ha! Again, I'm having a blast and this is a fun experience. I did pass the HazMat test and was really totally focused on that. Thus, the DoublesNTriples went by the wayside. I am planning on returning to DMV on Friday, July 5th to re-take this test. Crete does not recognize any other truck driving school in TX other than the one they have listed. Supposedly, our school is working on this right now (read "paper work and records") to get on their list. When that is done I may be able to get on with them. MEANWHILE I decided to let Werner kind of hang out there (I don't mean that negatively) and have applied with Conway. Looks like this is a go and so it is now a race between Crete and Conway. Now . . . off I go to the High Road training to try to finish up, do reviews and train some more. Thanks Brett and Old School and everyone else. I really appreciate your encouragement and help and it has made a difference.

Refers to pulling two trailers at the same time, otherwise known as "pups" or "pup trailers" because they're only about 28 feet long. However there are some states that allow doubles that are each 48 feet in length.
The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.
OK, went back to DMV today for last time. Passed the Doubles/Triples and received paperwork for fingerprinting for HazMat. Will do the finger printing on Wednesday and that's it! This Monday is graduation and I hope to hear from one of the companies I applied with this week. Then it's off to the races!

Best of luck to you Traffic Jam, and I sure hope you don't live up to your name!
OK! The day I had trouble shifting/slowing down for turn/looking at EVERYTHING SEEMINGLY COMING AT ME I was real slow and did . . . cause. . . . traffic to pile up behind me. I quickly learned and corrected the situation but did earn that name and it's kind of fun. We had "Rick Chhh Chhh"! and "Mouse" also in the truck.

Operating While Intoxicated
Hey Dave, I actually like the name and think it would make a great CB handle.
This is the nickname people use on the CB
Yeah, maybe I can see if I can get my user name changed to that, that is "Traffic Jam". Fun, fun!

I am at home now up near Amarillo, TX. I was "interviewed" over the phone earlier and Conway has invited me to attend their orientation starting this July 15, 2013. So that is only a few days away so its out of the frying pan and into the fire. Let's see, today is July 8th, so I have 5-6 days to be home and relaxed. We'll probably drive over to Joplin on July 13 or 14th. Probably the 13th in case something happens on the way then I have time to still get there. I am thinking a car breakdown or something??!? Today we received our certificates from Midland College Transportation Department.
Also I attended a class on H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) safety. This is in RE to working around oil fields and oil wells and hauling oil, water, etc. I went ahead and took it as the dept., offered it there at the college. It was a last minute thing they are starting for all future classes and we (my class) was invited to stay and take it. Thought it would be valuable and look good on my "trucking resume". Man, that H2S is serious and dangerous stuff! You don't want to mess around with H2S. Hazmat fingerprints on Wed and that about does all the prep work for now. Thanks again to Brett and all the Moderators and to this site.

Congratulations Dave
I still remember that feeling of accomplishment, it's something not easily forgotten. You did good, and we're all excessively proud of you! Keep up the good work and DON'T HIT ANYTHING!
