I got my last one back in under a week - I pull one at least once a year (FREE) to see what's on it.
Companies that are subscribers get theirs online INSTANTLY.
MVR's may take a little while. Many states are not "INSTANT", especially when ordering from out of state.
In Florida - I can walk into a clerk of courts office (satellite offices are in many drivers license locations) and walk out with one ON THE SPOT.

An MVR is a report of your driving history, as reported from your state Department of Motor Vehicles. Information on this report may include Drivers License information, point history, violations, convictions, and license status on your driving record.

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

I ordered mine at the end of January... the full shebang: Background checks, Criminal History, DAC , etc... took just shy of 4 weeks to get my package in the mail.
A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).
It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.
Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

According to HireRight - they no longer send your CRIMINAL HISTORY (except from "Retail Theft" databases). They included it, in the one I pulled in '09. But my '12 & 14 pulls did not include it. I called - and they told me they no longer provide it to CONSUMERS
I pulled mine "elsewhere". I do IT for law offices - so I had one of my clients pull mine from Lexis/Nexis (Accurint) - which uses the same data sources HireRight does.
