You have a really really really good trainer.

I was going to say the same thing! Can he be my trainer?

Been there, done that. Isn't it the damndest thing how those curtains open at the worst possible times?

I was driving us into a receiver once on my TNT truck, at like 4 a.m., and I didn't like the parking option so I thought I might pull us around the block to get to one I previously liked better.

Trip around the block put me in a nasty little residential area. Was a situation where the front left of the tractor couldn't clear the car parked on the street and the back right of the trailer couldn't clear the telephone pole. I GOALed, got back into the driver seat, released the brakes, and then the curtains opened.

"Hey! Good morning! We're stuck in a neighborhood and can't make this turn!"

He just started laughing. Luckily myself and my trainer were both psychopaths (flatbedders) and thought dire situations were funny.

I had to back out of that tight right hand turn I started. GOALed about four or five times. Then took it several miles extra just to get back to the receiver on safe roads.

Was a lot of fun and a great learning experience.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

TNT:

Trainer-N-Trainee

Prime Inc has their own CDL training program and it's divided into two phases - PSD and TNT.

The PSD (Prime Student Driver) phase is where you'll get your permit and then go on the road for 10,000 miles with a trainer. When you come back you'll get your CDL license and enter the TNT phase.

The TNT phase is the second phase of training where you'll go on the road with an experienced driver for 30,000 miles of team driving. You'll receive 14ยข per mile ($700 per week guaranteed) during this phase. Once you're finished with TNT training you will be assigned a truck to run solo.
