I'm sorry sir I really don't have any experience with something like this. Have you given thought to staying local with either an ltl or delivery type job so you can be home? I myself do have two children under the age of five so I do understand wanting to be home for them and that's exactly what I did. Unfortunately otr will not lend itself well to working around a visitation schedule.

How many of you guys/gals here drive OTR and have a child/children that live with the other parent? I am on a standard "every other weekend" plan with my 3 yr old daughter and am looking to possibly start a career in trucking. While I know my time off won't always fall on the weekend that I have visitation I would like to hear from others who deal with this. My child's mother says she will work with me on visitation but her home is an hour away from mine so overnight visits during the week will almost be impossible once she starts Pre K in the near future.
