I am looking to go to truck driving school in Springfield, Missouri. Anyone have experience here that can recommend which school here I should consider or avoid? I would appreciate any advice.
Prime inc is right there... Check them out...
Thank you!

Andrea, we've had a ton of people in here go through Prime's training program. If you will just put Prime in the search bar at the top of this page you will get a search that is exclusive to this site. You will find a ton of information in here on Prime, more so than even on their own web site.
Thank you. I have been debating on going through a private school or a trucking company school.

A private school gives you more options for a company to work for and a slower pace learning and we like to recommend that you stay with your first company for one year to gain the experience you need and pay your dues... With that said if you think you can learn at a faster pace environment and little too no up front cost then you should go to a company sponsored training program... I went to swift to get my cdl and it took me 16 days to get my cdl and then two and a half days of orientation then I got my trainer and on a truck..... So try to think about how fast do you want this...
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A Company-Sponsored Training Program is a school that is owned and operated by a trucking company.
The schooling often requires little or no money up front. Instead of paying up-front tuition you will sign an agreement to work for the company for a specified amount of time after graduation, usually around a year, at a slightly lower rate of pay in order to pay for the training.
If you choose to quit working for the company before your year is up, they will normally require you to pay back a prorated amount of money for the schooling. The amount you pay back will be comparable to what you would have paid if you went to an independently owned school.
Company-sponsored training can be an excellent way to get your career underway if you can't afford the tuition up front for private schooling.

You know, there's an actual Crackerman song by one of the best rock bands of the 90s!

I went to private training in Springfield Missouri, I went to Midwest Technical Institute. They have some financial assistance if you need it, and they have a few other options that are avaliable. I paid my own way because i didn't want to be tied to a bill over my head, it is four weeks. It cost me $3500. I was planning on going with one of the big companys after school, but they helped me to look at a few other options and i ended up signing on with a smaller local company where so far i believe i will be happy for quite a while into the future. Just saying you might want to look at them as an option. Good Luck.
