55 and in the process. I'm reminded that with age comes wisdom. Wisdom, apparently, weighs between 20 and 30 pounds!
The maximum age is when you can no longer pass the physical. For instance, I am 28 are will likely need hearing aids in less than 5 years. If I can't get my real estate going I will have to see if I can legally drive with hearing aids. If I can't then my max age will be around 33 years old.
I am a DOT medical examiner, and yes, you can drive with hearing aids. You have to be able to perceive a whispered voice from the examiner at 5' or greater in both ears.
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
I started at 59. It's just a number, doesn't mean anything...so long as you're physically and mentally in shape for driving, rock on!
I just turned 61 years old. Am I too old to start a new career? I have zero experience but after studying different trucking schools I would like to begin with Prime. One year after training would be a short time to pay back your loan. I have read a lot about Prime and I like the idea of the extended training.

Terminal:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
