I'd recommend staying away from SRT. This company is based in my home town and has a very bad reputation. I've also got a friend who works as a dispatcher there and he tells me that "mindf**king drivers is how he has fun at his job." Js
Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices
As a driver for srt I can say with full confidence this is not a company you want to endorse. Dispatchers are rude and will mess with you just for their entertainment. If you don't kiss ass or have a dedicated they will make you sit for days then try to deny you layover. And that's just the surface of it all.
