Most people that team are either husband and wife teams or they're good friends. But large carriers that run teams will often match you up with someone if you're interested.
You're not really going to make more money running team than you will running solo. Teams often get a little bit more per mile in the end, but not much. And honestly, most people hate it. It's extremely difficult sharing a space that tiny with another human being 24/7. It's even worse when you consider that the truck is usually rolling when you're trying to sleep and every decision you make is a compromise. Where are we going to eat? When are we going to fuel? Everything from the music you listen to, the temperature of the cab, the routing, and the decisions about who drives at what times are all compromises.
You don't have any information in your bio so I'm going to assume you haven't been on the road yet. If that's the case, when you get hired for your first job you'll be running team with a mentor for anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months, depending on the company. It won't take you long to decide if you like the idea of running team or not. So don't make any decisions about that until you've been on the road with a mentor first.

I wondered about the team driving system...seems like a good way to keep the wheels turning. How does one go about finding someone to partner up with and what is your opinion about doing that in the first place? Pros and cons etc.
